Expert biography
Professor Jeremy Chataway, MA, PhD, FRCP, is Consultant Neurologist at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Professor of Neurology at University College London, London, UK.
After qualifying in medicine at both the University of Cambridge and Oxford, he received general medical training in London and later specialised in neurology, while holding positions at hospitals in Edinburgh, Cambridge and London. He was awarded a PhD from the University of Cambridge in the genetic epidemiology of multiple sclerosis (MS) and started his post as Consultant Neurologist at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in 2001.
He has a particular interest in clinical trial design and is Chief Investigator of the MS-STAT and MS-SMART trial programmes in secondary progressive MS.
